Khan War: Aamir vs SRK through the years

Mr. Perfectionist Aamir and King Khan Shah Rukh have never worked together in a film and are perpetually in a state of cold war.

Both the Khans have been in the industry for almost 20 years and in the span of their careers, they have neither done any films together nor invited each other to their personal celebrations.

The media thought that at Katrina's birthday party, the cold war would get over but the Salman-SRK spat occurred and Aamir supported Salman which only heightened their cold war.

Aamir and SRK endorse rival brands of the same product. Aamir endorses Coca Cola while SRK is all for Pepsi. Aamir promotes Samsung phones while SRK says Nokia connects people. Aamir endorses Tata Sky and SRK says 'wish karo, Dish karo.' Naughty Aamir is the one who sparks off controversies by making digs at SRK. At one press meet, Aamir was asked about his rivalry with SRK and he replied, "SRK likes to come second." Moreover, the Tata Sky ambassador was asked his opinion on Dish TV and he said he had no idea what it was. Such a slap in the face for SRK!

Further, Aamir Khan denied to be the brand ambassador of the Indian Cricket League and said he would not like to own any cricket team in the future. Meanwhile, SRK owns the Kolkatta Knight Riders team in the Indian Premier League. So both the Khans are rubbing each other the wrong way by doing the exact opposite things.

Impish Aamir created a huge controversy when one of his blog entries read, "Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding biscuits to Shah Rukh who is my caretaker's dog." Masked in good humour, this was an obvious dig at SRK who refused to comment on the issue. A few weeks later Aamir called it a joke and apologized to SRK.

SRK acquired a killer six pack for Om Shanti Om and Aamir has gone a step further and acquired a chiselled eight pack for Ghajini. As part of Ghajini's promotions, the staff at leading multiplexes is sporting the Ghajini cut. This has been done in order to make sure that all those people who go to watch SRK's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi remember to watch Aamir's Ghajini on December 25th. Aamir says, "Shah Rukh is Shah Rukh and Aamir is Aamir. If people are going to see SRK's film, they won't turn around and go home when they see Ghajini's poster or statue. And anyways, I only have one film a year so I can't delay it any further."

Recently, both the Khans had events back to back. Aamir was 8 PM and SRK was at 9 PM. But Aamir postponed his event and SRK turned the clock back on his event so both started at the same time and the media was divided over the events. So, looks like there will be no end to the Aamir-SRK cold war.
