Aamir’s much awaited film Ghajini is less than 24 hours away from being released. But the big question everyone is asking is why is Aamir hiding his actress?
Asin’s casting in the Hindi version of Ghajini had created quite a buzz in Bollywood and as the release date drew closer, the media attention around Asin also grew. But the superstar has made sure that he has kept his on screen lover away from the media’s prying eyes.
Asin was seen only at one big event unveiling the paintings made by Salman yesterday. Prior to that she hasn’t given any interviews to majority of the media. Could this mean that the rumours around her inability to speak Hindi are true?
The actress has given two in depth interviews on Ghajini to an internatonal radio station in the UK and to an English news channel. As far as the Hindi news channels are concerned, Asin has been kept far away.
Almost all of Ghajini’s promotions have been done by Aamir single handedly. The first look of Ghajini was revealed during Diwali and Khan arrived sans his actresses for the event.
Sources say that whenever asked for an interview, Ghajini promoters say that Asin hasn’t given any dates. An excuse that seems a bit ridiculous considering Ghajini is her debut film in Bollywood.
Having said that, it could also be the decision of Aamir Khan who loves being the centre of attention. This is not the first time that Aamir Khan has hidden the heroine of his films. Before the release of Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par the main cast was kept out of all the promotions.
