Total 10: Ramu registers his 26/11 film

Two weeks after most filmmakers registered films relating to the terror attack on Mumbai, Ram Gopal Verma has gone and registered a title for a film called ‘Total Ten’.

Can it be more than just a coincidence that there were ten terrorists that attacked Mumbai? A source close to the director spills the beans for us.

“Ramu knew that there would be a huge number of films that would be registered relating to the attack. And since he had received huge amount of flak for visiting the Taj with Vilasrao Deshmukh and Riteish, he decided to lie low and not do anything about it. But he always planned to make a film about it,” says the source.

The director who was in the firing line of the public doesn’t plan to start the movie anytime soon. He will first be wrapping up Agyaat and Rann before he launches Total Ten.

“This is going to be one of RGV’s biggest projects with a big star cast. But it won’t begin for atleast another one year. He plans to use original confessions and transcripts from the event and getting access to them could take the director years,” informs the source.

RGV won’t be the first director to want to cash in on the 26/11 carnage. As many as 30 titles had been registered with the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association and Association of Motion Picture and Television Programme Producers even before the terror attack was over. Shootout At Taj, Shootout At Oberoi, Shootout At CST, Operation Black Tornado, Operation Cyclone, Ultimate Hero, The Real Hero, Woh 60 Ghante, Taj To Oberoi are some of the titles that have been registered by directors and producers. Producer Kumar Mangat has registered the titles 26/11 and 26 as well.
