Salman Khan painted in space

Ankita Prakash Joshi, is being considered for entry into the Guinness Book Of World Records as the first woman in the world to paint in zero gravity, and guess whom she chose to paint? Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg.

She completed eight sketches on March 27 in Florida, USA.

A huge fan of the star, she gushes, “Salman Khan is my lucky charm and I decided to paint him as my very first zero gravity painting.”

Her other paintings are metaphysical. On why she painted him and no other Bollywood star, Ankita said, “He is my favourite actor and I love his personality. People may think I am crazy, but this is what I wanted to do.”

The 27-year-old student of Sophia Polytechnic Applied Arts is unveiling her paintings today and wishes to gift the painting to Khan. “I would be greatly honored if he accepts,” she added.

Salman, Asin Ready to smooch on lips

According to the latest buzz, Macho-man Salman Khan has eventually okeyed to kiss on big screen for the first time ever in his over decades of career. Sallu has rejected many locking lips offers due to a family image so far, but now, he will be seen kissing Asin in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film, Ready. Sources not yet confirmed, if it will be a long kiss shot, passionate kiss or a short peck, but director Bazmi has able to convince Salman that the scene is demanded to the script. Salman First off had disapproved to give the shot and it took some chat on Bazmee’s part to manage him.

Katrina feels uneasy in the presence of Salman

There were rumours of Katrina Kaif being desperate to get on board with Salman Khan in any of his forthcoming films. In a complete turn, the fair-skinned beauty is running away and avoiding every possible event that would force her to face Salman Khan. Apparently the leggy lass has shunned the film ‘Bodyguard’ because she wanted to maintain a safe distance from Salman, so that they can give themselves some time to decide a further take on their relationship. Katrina is reportedly not keen on getting back with Salman as she has had enough in their five years of their togetherness; instead, she’s concentrating on maintaining a stable relationship with Ranbir Kapoor, as she isn’t able to get over their break up. Apart from declining ‘Bodyguard’ in which Kareena Kapoor has now taken the place of Katrina, there’s also one more high-profile project that might bring in Salman-Katrina back on the silver screen. This is Kabir Khan’s third directorial venture under Yash Raj Productions. Kabir Khan and Katrina Kaif are apparently on very good terms sincethey worked together as director and actor in Kabir Khan’s New York.
It was reported that Kabir was keen on getting Salman with Katrina for Salman’s first Yash Raj film, but rumor has it that Katrina still feels uneasy in the presence of Salman. Now after declining some big films, Katrina might not say no to her friend Kabir who gave her a big hit like ‘New York’. Now, when Katrina is doing another Yash raj film opposite Shahrukh, it seems that instead of Katrina, Yash Raj might not take the risk of replacing her, it could be Salman instead, as he still hasn’t given a nod to the offer.

Katrina Kaif Refused to Dance With Salman Khan

Katrina Kaif has refused to do a dance number with Salman Khan in the film Joker.

Reports suggest that after the romantic relation between Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan came to a sudden end, the lead lady of Bollywood has refused to do an item number with him in the film Joker.

When Farah Khan’s husband and the director of the upcoming film Joker Shirish Kunder decided to shoot an item number for his film, Farah Khan was quick to suggest the names Katrina and Salman. Since both these stars are exceptionally close to Farah, she felt that there shouldn’t be any problem roping them for this song.

But, just when Farah and Shirish seemed to be convinced that they had the two stars roped in for the song, Katrina has backed out. Sources say that though people from the unit of Joker have approached Katrina to be a part of this item number, to the surprise of everyone, Katrina refused to do the guest appearance in the film.

You may recall here that it hasn’t been long since Katrina worked with Farah in her directorial venture Tees Maar Khan. Since, both Katrina and Salman are very close friends of Farah and even featured together in the hit number Wallaha Wallaha, one would have thought that there shouldn’t be any difficulty to get them together again. But with Katrina refusing, the dream of shooting an item number with Katrina and Salman seems a distinct possibility.

In this scenario, if the director is still keen to get Katrina on board, Shirish would probably need to rely on the hero of his film Akshay Kumar. Having worked together in many films, Katrina and Akshay are very good friends and Akshay may be able convince his friend to do the song.

Salman Khan Starrer READY Fetches Big Price: 55cr, Huge

The next Salman Khan starrer Ready due for release on 3rd June has fetched a big price for its Indian and Overseas theatrical rights. A major distributing concern from the North has paid around 55 crore for its Indian and Overseas theatrical rights including prints.

The P&A is to the producers account so the Worldwide distributor share will have to cross the 55 crore mark for the distributors to make money. The price may seem fair considering the last Salman Khan starrer Dabangg notched up a Worldwide share of around 90 crore but the 55 crore mark has not been crossed by many films, maybe around a dozen.

Salman Khan does Stunts in Mountain Dew Ad - HQ Photos

Salman Khan on the set of Mountain Dew AD
Salman Khan indulges in daredevilry for soft drink ad.
It is touted to be Salman Khan's new actioner after Dabangg. The star has indulged in the daredevil adventure sport of wing suit flying in a commercial of his new endorsement for a soft drink.
The ad was recently shot at a remote location in the mountainous terrains of New Zealand. It was filmed by an international crew helmed by action-adventure film maker Bob Gordon. Sallu has done the stunts himself.
Says a unit source, "The only way to reach the shooting locale was by a helicopter. There were five of them on the sets that feature in the ad as well."
The makers claim that it is the actor's biggest ad production keeping in mind the ad's Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai campaign.
Adds the source, "The film has been mounted on a mega scale and the production budget exceeded over a million dollars."
The ad goes on air from February 25.

Salman in love with Brit model Hazel?

Though believed to have sworn to celibacy, as though determined never to let a girl distract him again, Salman Khan has surprised us.

The actor has recently found a female companion who he loves spending time with. Rumour has it that Sallu and British model Hazel are getting close to each other rather well. She took him out for a bike ride in Pune about two weeks ago, post which they spent a lot of quality time together. The weather in that city is such that you can't blame the two, but they have sure become the talk of town in Mumbai.

Salman and Hazel have been shooting together for Siddique Lal's Bodyguard for some time now but sparks flew in Pune only recently, they say. Before and after their shooting schedules, Salman and Hazel would spend a lot of free time with one another.

This comes as a surprise because Salman, whose reputation of having had an impressive line-up of girlfriends precedes him, reportedly wanted to concentrate only on his career post the success of Dabangg. In the past, he had close relationships with Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif.

He was briefly linked up with Mahek Chahal, Bruna Abdullah and more recently, Kangna Ranaut. But post his "brea-up" with Katrina, the actor chose to doggedly pursue his work and not allow women to distract him.

It seems Hazel is a cute exception to the rule however. Says a source, "Most new girls in the industry get quite intimidated by Salman, but Hazel has not shown any such signs. Salman and she hit it off like a house on fire. It now seems that they are more than just good friends."Hazel and Salman remained unavailable for comment.

Salman Khan's daredevil stunt in PepsiCo’s new Mountain Dew ad

Bollywood’s “Dabangg” actor Salman Khan will be seen doing a daredevil stunt in PepsiCo’s new Mountain Dew ad – he jumps from 10,000 feet in a “wingsuit” from which a parachute springs open.

“Everyone is afraid of something or the other at some point of his or her life. But if you try to run away from fear, you’d be tired and eventually fear will win. So the best way to overcome fear is to face it, run through it because ‘Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai’,” Salman said in a statement.

The 45-second TV commercial will air from Friday and a 60-second commercial will be shown in theatres.

Salman rides a tuk tuk taxi in ‘Ready’

Salman Khan looked intense in a biker boy makeover – leather jacket, tee and faded jeans – riding a taxi in Thailand for an action sequence for his upcoming film – Ready. Salman went an extra mile to add that special zing to Anees Bazmi’s comedy drama.

The 45-year-old star suggested an action sequence based on Thailands iconic Tuk Tuk taxies, a first for any Bollywood film.

The production team liked Salman’s suggestion and an action scene was spontaneously written and shot. It showed two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.

Producers, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Rajat Rawail, had to buy 3 Tuk Tuks especially for the scene since they would end up being completely destroyed. They happily did so, keen that ‘Ready’ live up to fan expectations created by Salman’s earlier action films – ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’.

Bhushan Kumar confirms, “It was Bhai’s idea to shoot with tuk-tuks which are very fast and powerful. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before. People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in ‘Ready’. People will enjoy this unique Thai action.”

An insider adds, ‘Ready’ is slated for release on June 3.

Salman moves on from Chulbul Pandey to Lovely Singh

Names like Rahul, Rohit, Rohan, Prem and Raj is no more used in Bollywood. Its an era of Chulbul Pandey and Robin hood Pandey. After Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan will now be called as Lovely Singh.

Salman Khan’s character in Bodyguard is called Lovely Singh. Apparently, they wanted it to be Chulbul Pandey, but the star did not want his trademark Dabangg name in it. Lovely Singh is also the name of a B-Town director who made Kya Love Story Hai.

Be it Chulbul Pandey or Lovely Sigh, Salman will be loved by his fans in any forms and figure.

Sonakshi Sinha pairing Kamal Hassan

It seems Bollywood actresses are set to dominate the Tamil film industry, as they are being roped in for big banner films. After Deepika Padukone, who signed Rajinikanth's Rana, now it's Sonakshi Sinha's turn to make her grand entry to Kollywood.

Sonakshi, who shot to fame with Hindi movie Dabangg, has impressed Kamal Hassan and he is considering her to cast in his next film. According to reports, Selvaraghavan has approached her for his next film, which is inspired from Hollywood movie Hannibal. She will be playing the role of a undercover agent, which was played by Julianne Moore in the original.

However, she is yet to give the nod to act in the film. Reports say that director Selvaraghavan is yet to narrate the story to her. The untitled project is expected to hit the floors in April 2011.

Sonu Sood banned from doing villain roles until ‘Dabangg 2′

Sonu Sood’s grimacing villainy in “Dabangg” has got him the kind of recognition no amount of goody, goody roles ever did in nine years. Just when he was all set to unleash an avalanche of evil on screen by signing on plum villain’s roles, he was asked to keep baddy roles on hold until ‘Dabangg 2′.

“It’s true I have been told not to expend my mean muscles until ‘Dabangg 2′. Interestingly, I’ve signed two major cop roles. One is a dream-come-true role in Puri Jaganaath’s ‘Boodha’ where I play (Amitanh) Bachchan’s son. My role is modelled on Amitji in ‘Zanjeer’,” said Sonu, 37, who entered Bollywood in 2002 with “Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh”.

Sonu has watched “Zanjeer” 17 times in the last six months.

To his command over the Bachchanesque style of law enforcement in “Zanjeer”, including that famous body-flying-across-the-air for a full impact hurl against the adversary that had the crowds roaring when Big B did it in 1973, Sonu will add the inner knowledge of a cop’s world.

For that intense preparations are on. Sonu, who is from Punjab, recently spent a fortnight with a senior police officer in Punjab to understand the mind, body language and spoken language of a cop.

“I’ve spent time with DGP (Director General of Police) P.S. Gill. He has helped me understand how a cop functions,” said Sonu.

The law enforcement skills would help Sonu with his other role this year as well.

“I again a play cop in Kabir Kaushik’s underworld drama Maximum. I had no intentions of doing any other film except ‘Boodha’ this year. And that too another role as a cop! When I read the script of ‘Maximum’, I was bowled over. I will play this cop very differently from the one in ‘Boodha’,” the actor said.

The two films will take Sonu Sood to the end of this year.

“And then it’s back to villainy in ‘Dabangg 2′. Badman Returns,” laughed Sonu, who played important role in “Jodhaa-Akbar” and main lead in “Ek Vivaah… Aisa Bhi”.

Salman Khan is going to play a negative role in 'Mr. India' sequel

Anil Kapoor is irritated with people making castles in the air about the sequel to his 1987 sci-fi hit "Mr. India" and says rather than talking, we should start the project.

"We have all been talking about it and I think more than talking, we should start working on it. There is nothing we can talk about it as of now you know. It is completely blank. We should get going," Anil told IANS.

To be produced by Boney Kapoor, the Part II is going to be shot in 3D. While Anil and Sridevi are to reprise their roles as Arun Verma and Seema Sohni, respectively, rumours are rife that Salman Khan is going to play a negative role in the film.

Salman khan back to Tweeting..

In December last year, when Salman Khan flew to Dubai to celebrate his birthday and usher the New Year, he took a break from Twitter.

Well, about three weeks passed by and Salman did not tweet, indicating that like Aamir Khan, he, too, had lost interest in social networking. But no! Sallu’s now back and that too with a humor typical of him.
“Arre koi hai ? Itna sannata kyun hai bhai?” Salman tweeted, adding the reason why he hasn’t been tweeting lately.
“Pass word bhool gaya tha , badam khaya toh yaad ah gaya,” he posted.
Well that wasn’t funny, Sallu.. But we’re glad you are back with a bang…

Salman-Kareena begin shooting for ‘My Love Story’…

Salman Khan is on a roll. He has started working on his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s home production My Love Story and is paired opposite style diva Kareena Kapoor. The movie is a romantic comedy but takes an emotional turn in the end.

My Love Story is the remake of the hit 2010 Malayalam film Bodyguard starring Dileep and Nayantara. In fact, its Tamil remake Kaavalan with Vijay and Asin, which got released last Friday, is getting an overwhelming response from the audience as well as critics.
We hope that the Hindi remake with Salman and Kareena will also prove to be a great family entertainer like the original. Though Salman-Kareena can’t be called a hit on-screen pair, Atul was convinced to sign Kareena because the heroine of the film has a bubbly persona. So, who else than the chirpy Bebo?
