Salman and Aishwarya dance together
Exclusive: Kareena Kapoor is getting married to Saif Ali Khan!
And while the news of this couple’s clandestine marriage had already created a furore, Bebo’s finally out with the big news!
“Oh, all that was just a rumour. Why would I hide if I had gotten married? That would be the day for me. Only I know how I’m looking forward to it.”
All right, so any plans of tying the knot soon?
“Yes, that’s going to be very soon. Initially, we had thought of giving our relationship some time before we got married. But now I don’t think either of us can wait any longer. So may be, post the release of Tashan this month, you all can see us wedded.”
She continues, “And that’s the reason, Tashan will always be close to my heart. It was on the sets of Tashan, that we came closer and that was when Saif took me out for a candlelit dinner and proposed to me! By then, I was too much in love with him, to have said no.”
But ask her would it be right to marry while at the peak of her career,
“Why not? I didn’t say, I’d stop working after marriage. Today, I’ve already reached the Rs 3.5 crore package, and I hope to work and earn more in the coming years. In fact, I already have some big projects in hand which are slated to release, by the year end.”
SRK launches Kolkata Knight Riders’ website
Says a source, “Shah Rukh is going ahead with his Bengali battle cry — Korbo, Lorbo and Jitbo (we’ll do it, fight it and win the battle) using all his might and wit. He is pulling out all stops to promote his team. SRK recently launched the website (http://www.kolkataknightriders.com).”
It’s got everything
Elaborating on the website the source adds, “It’s got everything on the Knight Riders from news to downloads to their mission, including the names of the players, with the latest update on what their logo and mascot Royal Bengal tiger Hoog Lee of the team has been up to.”
The source further adds, “The website was designed by BCWebwise on March 13. Though it was a hush-hush affair, the website has already more than 8,000 hits.”
Says Shah Rukh, “I have launched my website on the Knight Riders. I want the youth of India to be part of the website and we have already got a huge response from them.”
Earlier, in one of his press conferences, SRK had said, “The idea and ideology behind naming the team Kolkata Knight Riders is because I want to appeal to the youth of the country.”
The Kolkata Knight Riders costumes have been designed by Manish Malhotra and Anaita Shroff Adajania and are a mixture of black and gold, which is the background theme of the website.

Harry Baweja makes Mumbai world class
Glass-facade highrises, skywalks, hovercrafts, monorail flyovers, freeways and flying cars criss-crossing the city... these are the images of Mumbai that filmmaker Harry Baweja depicts in Love Story 2050.
Though the producer-director is taking recourse to special effects from an Australian company to recreate the city 42 years from now the Remaking of Mumbai Federation hopes to translate this celluloid image of the city into reality.
Developers fancy it
Love Story 2050, which is slated for a July release, is Baweja’s son Harman’s launch pad. The movie’s trailers were released last week and the film’s publicity posters and trailers have caught the fancy of the city’s developers.
Says Baweja, “I was approached by the Remaking of Mumbai Federation. They have evinced keen
interest in how we have portrayed the metropolis and I have offered to help in whatever way I can.”
In dialogue
Lalit Gandhi, chairman of the Federation, adds, “When we saw the film’s images, we were interested in knowing how the city had been depicted. We got in touch with the film’s makers to have a dialogue with them.”
Love Story 2050 has recreated the future through technology around Mumbai’s prominent landmarks. “There was no point showing any futuristic city and saying this is what Mumbai would look five decades on. To make it believable, we have taken places like Flora Fountain, Marine Drive, Gateway of India and changed the landscapes,” explains Baweja.
Untouched
He adds, “The Flora Fountain statue and heritage buildings remain. That cannot be touched as it is quintessentially Mumbai. So also with the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal hotel; but around it, structural changes unfold.”
The director offers Dubai and Hong Kong as examples. These cities have changed their skylines over the years. “If all us make concerted efforts, we can make Mumbai better.”
Adds Mayank Gandhi, secretary of the Federation, “Love Story 2050 is a fantasy, we hope to make it a reality.”
Tibetans demand Aamir Khan to skip Olympic torch relay!
Aamir Khan championing social causes, and eventually getting embroiled into controversies, is nothing new. However, this time, it has stretched a bit too far!
Recently, it was announced that Aamir Khan would be one of the Olympic torchbearers, something that the Tibetan community - in India - has raised objection to.
They have told Aamir to simply distance himself from the Olympic torch relay, that is to be held in China in 2008, so much so that a young protestor went to the extent of threatening self-immolation, if Aamir did not yield to the protests!
The reason cited for this protest is, to express solidarity with the Tibetan struggle for freedom, from China.
We wonder, what Aamir will have to say about this!
Yash Raj Films of 2008 - from action to romance
Bachna Ae Haseeno
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Exciting as these four diverse stories are in their own right, there is no doubt that excitement among Indian audiences will be at a fever pitch on the 12th of December. For that is the date on which Aditya Chopra will be back as director for the first time in eight years. For these past eight years, Aditya Chopra has concentrated his creative energies on building Yash Raj Films into India's first production house built on the studio model and shaping it into a creative nerve centre that has nurtured some of India's best screenwriters, directors and stars. But Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will remind audiences (if anyone has forgotten) of the magic touch that has made Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge the longest running motion picture in Indian cinema history. While many of his stories and screenplays have been seen on screen in the last few years, including Veer-Zaara, which was helmed by his father Yash Chopra, the romantic confection of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi looks set to capture hearts across the globe all over again.
2008, another very exciting year ahead for YRF, 5 films of varied genres, varied styles.
Two, by first time directors, two by acknowledged directors and the year's crowning glory by a director who is going to say lights, camera, action after 8 years.

Kajol talks about U Me Aur Hum, Shah Rukh Khan and her future projects
Here’s the latest interview she gave to the media:
Contrary to assumptions, U Me Aur Hum is not inspired by The Notebook, confirms Kajol. But unlike other actresses, Kajol, with her trademark candour, doesn’t claim that the film is ‘completely different’.
“It’s basically old wine in a new bottle, just like every other film. But it’s the way you make a film that makes it different, and this one is refreshing,” she states.
She plays a waitress in the film.“I can’t say there’s a particular characteristic about her. Perhaps the only thing distinctive about her is her strange vulnerability,” reveals Kajol.
Daughter Nysa isn’t making an appearance in the film. And Kajol says that was never an option.
“She’s just five. She does recognise me on screen but doesn’t like to see me crying. She was there for the music release of UMAH, but we want to keep her away from films as of now,” she says.
For the couple’s next animated venture - Toonpur Ka Superhero - however, Kajol wouldn’t mind her little one sitting through the screening.“She’ll enjoy it, even though Ajay and I don’t play animated characters. We play a married couple. But I don’t know much about the film yet as we haven’t started shooting for it. I’ve to go on the sets and check out everything to get a better idea,” she explains.
Kajol doesn’t confirm whether the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol jodi will return after six years in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan.“Karan has approached me, but nothing’s been finalised yet. I haven’t signed on the dotted line yet,” she asserts.
As for Raj Kumar Hirani’s Idiot, based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone, Kajol says she isn’t a part of the project any more. Is it because Hirani was irked by Kajol reportedly asking SRK about whether Hirani is a credible director or not?
“That’s not true. Everyone associated with it and the people who matter know that,” she clarifies.
With just two projects in hand, Kajol wants to take a six-month break after Toonpur.
“I’m not looking at being very prolific this year,” she states.
But endorsements are something she’s been routinely doing. Is it just the moolah?
“Money isn’t an issue, since I can get it from anywhere. What’s important is whether I belive in the product I’m endorsing. We shouldn’t be completely alien to each other,” she confirms.
Kajol recently received brickbats for repeating her outfits. Is she fine with people being over-critical of her fashion sense or should they just let her be?
“Do I have to say that? I think you’ve said that for me,” she laughs, adding, “I don’t react to such remarks. People who said that have obviously never repeated a T-shirt in their lives,” she says.
So post motherhood, what’s kept her so gorgeous?
post Original from bollywoodbuzz.inSaif Ali Khan refuses Rs 30 crore offer!
Post Race, Saif Ali Khan’s career is racing ahead too. But that’s no news.
What’s worthy of making headlines, is the fact that Saif has just refused a lucrative, whopping Rs 30 crore deal offered to him by a leading corporate house!
When media asked Saif for his comments, he admitted that he turned down the offer as he doesn’t want to take up more work. And that he has always believed in doing just 2-3 films in a year.
“I have been taken seriously now, and poeple say that I’m a saleable actor. I choose to believe this. I’m serious enough to be signed with lots of money and interesting performances, that’s all that I want. I will continue to do films at my pace, and that’s why, I have now got into production. The objective is to make commercial, highly entertaining and challenging movies,” he says.
Saif’s dream, quite obviously, is not money these days. Is a certain Ms Kapoor reading this?
