Bipasha angry with the comment of Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan is known for his witty style. He used to joke with his co-stars as well as with the person present on sets. But it is not sure that always his co-stars are in mood to take his jokes down well.
Recently something same happened with Bipasha Basu. At the sets of movie “Players”, Abhishek commented on Bipasha about his boyfriend John Abraham which was not liked by Bips and she became angry with him. Well Bipasha Basu and Abhishek are very good friends but this comment hurted Bips. It will be now nice to see that how did Abhishek make up with Bipasha now.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the cover of Masala magazine's Valentine edition

Aishwarya has been on several covers this Valentine month.. on Stardust as the No.1 Power Couple, on Vogue in the Working woman issue, on Femina as the most beautiful woman, on Masala's Valentine special issue and on an upcoming Filmfare cover. But who's complaining when she looks absolutely stunning on all the covers and still living upto the "most beautiful woman in the world" title.

But one thing I don't understand is how they keep revisiting how Abhishek proposed to her and how she said 'I do'. Even school kids know it now. So what's the point of the magazine featuring an already well-known story? There better be more dope in the story than what has been presented to the world till now.

Abhi discloses his very first meeting with Aishwarya

Abhishek Bachchan on the first occasion he found Aishwarya- ” The very first time i found Aishwarya was in 1997. I was on a recce for my dad’s movie Mrityudata and Aishwary was capturing her very first movie, APHG, with Bobby Deol. I keep in mind one afternoon Bobby asked me over to his motel for meal and Aishwarya and the entire unit were there.

That was initially i actually found her, although i had obviously seen her before, since she has Miss World and all that.I do not keep in mind the time when i knew she was the one, actually which is weird, but it always just felt right. If you ask her, she will tell you the same thing- that the minute we came together, we both knew that this was something for keeps.

So, there wasn’t just this ‘one’ defining moment, it always felt perfect!”

Ranbir-Imran spoof Hrithik-Aishwarya!

When Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan get together to show their antics, expect a blast.

The duo regaled the audiences at the Filmfare Awards in Mumbai on Saturday night by spoofing a few popular acts of the year, but nothing could beat their parody of Ethan and Sophia, played by Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai, from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish.

Imran dressed up as the magician Ethan and Ranbir was in drag to play the doe-eyed nurse Sophia. Here’s a pic of the duo as Ethan and Sophia. Enjoy!

Aishwarya Rai on Vogue Feb 2011 edition

The cover of the February issue of Vogue India is quite eye grabbing. It has Aishwarya Rai dressed as a raven, ready to take flight.
Vogue has quite innovatively come up with a cover that will sure catch people’s attention. It has Aishwarya Rai, clad in a figure hugging black dress, with raven feathers adorning her shoulders.

What’s also curious to note is her pose: arms akimbo, and palms resting assuredly on that perfect waist; her auburn hair hanging down and she staring at the camera through those mesmeric hazel eyes.
Like the cover???

Abhi-Ash clinch 'power couple' title

Country’s leading entertainment magazine conferred up on Bollywood’s most rocking couple Abhishek and Aishwarya the honour of being India`s No 1 Power Couple on the launch occasion of their latest issue.

Featuring the famous couple on the cover, the magazine presented Abhi-Ash with the No 1 title an upmarket Delhi hotel.

The editor of the magazine credited Abhishek with conceptualising the cover. Bachchan junior said, “I made it happen, she (Aishwarya) made it watchable.”

Speaking to a daily, Abhishek said, “We didn`t know we were going to be the `No1 Power Couple`. He (the editor) has been running after me for a very long time to do a cover. But unfortunately, both of us have been very busy working, so we couldn`t take time out to come down and shoot it.”

When asked how he remained so humble despite his famous family, Abhishek said: "It`s very simple actually. You remain grounded when you go home to Mr Amitabh Bachchan every day.

"You have a wonderful day - fans take autographs, wonderful people take photographs, and you feel nice and inflated up in your head. Then you go home and Mr Amitabh Bachchan opens the door and you are shown your place right there."

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan misses her family….

Actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is tired, unwell and is missing her family terribly.

“Yes, I am not well at all. I am here to honor a commitment that I made. I always live up to my commitments. I am on antibiotics now,”
says Rai-Bachchan moments after her performance at the Zee Cine Awards on Friday evening.
Ash says she is missing her Pa (Amitabh Bachchan) and husband Abhishek the most.
“They are in two different locations. Pa is shooting at a location outside Mumbai and Abhishek is in Italy. It would have been great had they been around me. I am definitely missing them. I so wish that they were here to watch me win this award (the Jury’s Choice for the film Guzaarish). It’s a first and I so hoped that they would have been around. But I’m sure they must’ve got to know about it by now,” smiles Rai-Bachchan.
In such stressful moments too, the actress indulges and involves with all her fans who’ve been waiting for hours to get her autograph or a picture.
“It’s the love and affection of fans in moments like these that make all the effort seem worthy. I’m aware that they wait to see me, and so small things (like being unwell) don’t matter in times like these,” she explains.
In spite of her recent film Guzaarish not doing very well at the box office, Ash has no regrets. All she wants is to be satisfied as an actress.
“My character in Guzaarish was multi-layered. Some people have appreciated it and I’ve been awarded for it. Besides, Sanjay (Leela Bhansali) has given me some of the biggest milestones of my career like Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He is a director who’s never lost his faith in me. And I want to say that Guzaarish is one of the best gifts that he has given me. The rest of it doesn’t matter as I got to play someone who I’ve been waiting to play for a long time,” says the actress.

Ash-Aamir are now friends… Thanks to Akshay and Twinkle…

The long long battle between Ash and Aamir was came to a still on the anniversary party of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna.

Akshay and Twinkle celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary a couple of days ago and at the party, the bonding between Aamir and Ash was a sight to watch. They bonded at the party like nothing had ever gone wrong between them.
Differences between Ash and Aamir cropped up when the former opted out of Mangal Pandey and that too at the very last minute. At the time, Aamir had requested his good friend Rani Mukerji to step in.
According to a source, “Aishwarya had come much before Aamir arrived. Normally, Ash leaves most parties in not more than 10 minutes. However, at this one, when she learnt that Aamir and Kiran were on their way, Ash decided to wait.
When Aamir and Kiran arrived, Aishwarya met Aamir and spoke to him warmly. They discussed quite a few things including Kiran’s film Dhobi Ghat. Both Ash and Aamir were together at the party for some time but Aamir had to leave early, so he left with Kiran.”
Well, this time it was Ash who took the initiative.
The source further said, “Aamir has always been on very good terms with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and would meet up with him whenever he could. However, there has been a problem between Ash and him for the longest time, which finally seems to have ended.”
Bollywood is really on a patch up spree..

Is Freida replacing Aishwarya as the face of L’Oreal Paris????

Recently, rumors had it that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would soon be replaced by the Slumdog Millionaire chick, Freida Pinto as the new face of cosmetic firm L’Oreal Paris.

However, a denial has come from the officials of L’Oreal Paris, “We are shocked and surprised to read in some sections of the media/press about Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being replaced as the face of L’Oreal Paris,” said an official statement from the firm.
These rumors cropped when Ms Pinto was seen featuring in the L’Oreal Paris New Year 2011′s commercial ad.
“L’Oreal Paris strongly reiterates that this is absolutely untrue and that Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to be our valued spokesperson, as she has since 2000. While she remains an integral part of the L’Oreal Paris worldwide Dream Team, she was unfortunately unavailable for our New Year commercial shoot due to prior commitments,” the statement added.

The statement also made it clear that since Ash was busy with her prior commitments, she wasn’t able to make it for the shoots of the commercial ad of New Year.
Praising the beauty, the statement added, “She (Ash) is one of the most iconic women of our times and is certainly the face of L’Oreal Paris internationally and in India for a range of products,”

Aishwarya Rai last hope Guzaarish...

Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s career is going through a rough patch right now. All her recent releases are bombing miserably at the box office Now, Ash has her last hope on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish which stars Hrithik Roshan as the male lead.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Action Replayy starring Akshay kumar flopped big time at the box office. Raavan, which released early this year also failed miserably.
Apperantly, Robot, did and average business in Bollywood but needless to mention, the entire credit goes to South superstar, Rajnikanth.

However, Guzaarish trailers are gaining all the attention at the moment and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is hoping for this film to live up to the hype.
Having a disaster with Kites, the flick Guzaarish’s success is critical to Hrithik too.

Golmaal 3 rocks over ‘Action Replayy’……….

With ‘Golmaal 3′, director Rohit Shetty completed a successful rib-tickling trilogy, striking the right chord with the audiences and giving tough competition to Vipul Shah’s romantic ‘Action Replayy’ at the box office.
Both the biggies were scheduled for a Diwali release and hit the screens Friday.

‘The content of ‘Golmaal 3′ is very good. People are enjoying it a lot and it has been houseful so far. It is a good time pass and full paisa vasool movie. ‘Action Replayy’ has opened a little weak and is not pikcing up,’ Ashwini Singh, business head of SRS cinema, said.

Satish Garg, owner of G3S Cinemas, said: ”Golmaal 3′ is going very good. We have an occupancy of 100 percent and the advance booking is rocking. ‘Action Replayy’ is okay with close to 40 percent occupancy.”

For ‘Golmaal 3′, Shetty teamed up with Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Mithun Chakraborty, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Johny Lever and Ratna Pathak-Shah.
Just like its previous two installments, it is full on entertainment and people are lapping up the laughthon, while Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai-starrer ‘Action Replayy’, in which the story travels to the past, has got a lukewarm response.

”Golmaal 3′ has taken the screens by storm and is doing better at all sites across Delhi. It has 60 percent occupancy, while ‘Action Replayy’ has 30 percent. Both have good advance for Sunday, however, ‘Golmaal 3′ has much more. ‘Action Replayy’ should pick up tomorrow (Saturday) onwards,’
said Jayendra Banerji, vice president Satyam Cinemas.

Yogesh Raizada of Waves Cinemas said: ‘All votes are in favour of ‘Golmaal 3′. It has got a good initial and public swing due to its recall value. It has an occupancy close to 70 percent. It has good advance booking till Sunday and the ratio is 60:40. ‘Action Replayy’ is a new concept and its acceptance is yet to be seen. It has managed to get an occupancy of 40 to 50 percent only.’

Action Replayy : Movie Review by Taran Adarsh

ACTION RELAYY is a light-hearted rom-com that should be viewed without really seeking much rationale or logic behind every action and reaction. If you go with that in mind, chances are you might like the experience. A slightly dreary first hour, but a racy second hour with top notch performances makes it a decent watch this Diwali.

To recreate the bygone era and tell a parable of the former period is nothing short of a challenge and that’s exactly what director Vipul Shah is out to achieve with his latest outing ACTION REPLAYY. Travel machines and time travel stories are no longer alien for Bollywood. We have had our share of movies wherein characters have either travelled into the future or into the past. In ACTION REPLAYY, one of the protagonists travels into the past because he feels he needs to make an effort to better the past and only then can his family live in bliss and harmony.

I’d like to clarify at the very outset that ACTION REPLAYY does not share any similarity with David Fincher’s THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON [2008], as alleged and discussed. However, in the same breath, let me clarify that the film does bring back memories of the outstandingly executed BACK TO THE FUTURE, a 1985 American science-fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis. The only difference is that the character played by Michael J. Fox accidentally goes into the past, but in ACTION REPLAYY, the boy seems to be on a mission, like he intentionally wants to get into the past.

A light-hearted rom-com with a dash of sci-fi thrown in, ACTION REPLAYY should be viewed without really seeking much rationale or logic behind every action and reaction. If viewed in the same perspective, then chances are that you might just like this fare. Of course, ACTION REPLAYY is no perfect film, for it has its share of blemishes, which actually curtails its growth to an extent.

Bunty [Aditya Roy Kapur] loves his girlfriend Tanya, but runs a mile whenever she mentions marriage. His phobia with matrimony stems from his parents Kishen [Akshay Kumar] and Mala’s [Aishwarya Rai Bachchan] acrimonious marriage. But now Bunty is in a fix. Tanya’s grandfather, Professor Anthony Gonsalves [Randhir Kapoor], has given him an ultimatum — get married to Tanya or stop seeing her. Bunty knows that unless he does something fast, his dreams of living happily ever after with Tanya will bite the dust.
As Bunty’s surprise party for his parent’s 35th wedding anniversary deteriorates into yet another explosive fight between Kishen and Mala, he decides to turn back the clock and rewrite Kishen and Mala’s destiny and alter their disastrous marriage into a romantic affair of the hearts.

And how does he do that? By using the professor’s time machine to travel back in time. To a time when Kishen and Mala were not married… To a time when Kishen’s father Rai Bahadur [Om Puri] and Mala’s mother Bholi Devi [Kirron Kher] were sworn enemies… To a time when Kishen was a certified nerd, bullied merciless by Kundan [Rannvijay]… To a time when Mala couldn’t stand the sight of Kishen and took great pleasure in ragging him silly.

Bunty has to transform his father from a wimp into an eligible bachelor and his mother from a tomboy into the epitome of feminine grace. Then he has to attempt an impossible task — make them fall in love with each other. And finally he has to make his grandparents agree to their love marriage.
Doesn’t the synopsis sound really good on paper? But the question is, has the director executed the wonderful story idea with panache and have the writers come up with a taut screenplay? Let’s attempt to analyze…

ACTION REPLAYY is the fifth film Vipul Shah and Akshay Kumar have done together after AANKHEN, WAQT, NAMASTEY LONDON and SINGH IS KINNG [which was produced by him and directed by Anees Bazmee] and it’s evident that the two share great work chemistry. Also, I genuinely feel that Vipul’s script sense is good, he likes to attempt diverse genres, exploring new territories each time he attempts a film.

When attempting a movie on a concept like time travel, it’s imperative that the writing should be so persuasive that the viewer is influenced into believing that people can travel into the past or future. In this case, a little bit of additional gyan would have only enhanced the impact of the story, but whatever minimal is said about time travel in the film doesn’t register effectively, besides the fact that the time machine itself looks tacky and tawdry and does very little in convincing you that this piece of scrap can really transport you into a departed era, 1975 in this case.

Also, once the protagonist reaches the former period to set things right for the family, it just left me wondering how it would improve his present scenario. Frankly, the screenplay writing is flawed and a few tracks just don’t cut ice. The track involving Rannvijay is lackluster and least convincing, also the track involving the warring neighbours [Om Puri and Kirron Kher] is half-baked, the portions involving Randhir Kapoor and also Neha Dhupia are undeveloped and the climax [the long chase] is far from comic. The blame falls completely on screenplay writers Suresh Nair, Ritesh Shah and Aatish Kapadia for coming up with an unimaginative screenplay, despite having a brilliant concept on hand.

What really salvages the otherwise flawed script is the pace and the length of the film and of course, the performances of its principal cast. The film moves at a brisk pace, giving you little time to think, although I wish to add that if a couple of scenes from the first hour are deleted, the second hour would get a bit more impactful. Yet, all said and done, Vipul Shah seems to have kept a strict vigil on the length of the film, not allowing it to over-exceed and making it less burdensome and more enjoyable for the viewer. However, the film is not a patch on his earlier works, especially WAQT and NAMASTEY LONDON. He’s made far superior films in the past.

Pritam comes up with a likable score, with ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ leaving a zor ka jhatka from the very onset itself. ‘O Bekhabar’ is soothing and reminds you of a Yash Chopra composition, while ‘Nakhre’ is catchy and hummable. Sejal Shah’s cinematography is alright.

I’d like to make a specific note of Salim-Sulaiman’s background score, which is amongst the best of 2010. The duo’s contribution to the film is immense, since even an ordinary sequence gets enhanced with the right sound. The costumes and styling deserve brownie points, while the sets of the bygone era are realistic, except for the time machine, which, like I pointed out earlier, looks outright tacky.

Both Akshay and Aishwarya remain faithful to their characters and come up with winning performances. It requires a lot of courage for a good looking man like Akshay to look the opposite of what he is, with buck teeth and neck-length hair, and he carries it off convincingly. He’s wonderful in both young and old parts. Ditto for Aishwarya, who enacts the over the top Mala with understanding of the character. Even the elderly Mala has been effectively portrayed by her.

The real surprise is Aditya Roy Kapur, who looks extremely persuasive as the demoralized and dispirited son of Akshay-Ash. He’s fantastic. This act should open new vistas for the youngster. Distinguished actors like Om Puri, Kirron Kher and Rajpal Yadav come across as mere props with sketchy characterizations. They are under-utilized, but despite this they give all their might and power to the roles. Rannvijay is least convincing, while Randhir Kapoor and Neha Dhupia are wasted.
