Katrina Kaif spends the night with Ranbir Kapoor
Yes, you read it right! Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's secret affair is finally out in the open, thereby establishing the lady's fall out with Salman Khan.
Post Karan Johar's party at Four Seasons, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were spotted zooming away in Ranbir Kapoor's car. It was noted that Katrina Kaif spent the night at Ranbir Kapoor's residence in Bandra.
This further confirms the rumors that they are dating.
Just a few days back, there were reports floating about Ranbir spending the night at Katrina's residence very often. It was also reported that Ranbir was at Kat's house the night before the IT raid took place. Unlike Shahid, who was present at Priyanka's house the same day during the raids, Ranbir was just lucky enough to leave Kat's house before officials knocked on the door.
However, now that everybody knows of their clandestine affair, we just hope that Ranbir and Katrina don't hide their relationship behind the 'just good friends' cover up anymore. Ab bacha kya?

When Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan get together to show their antics, expect a blast.
The duo regaled the audiences at the Filmfare Awards in Mumbai on Saturday night by spoofing a few popular acts of the year, but nothing could beat their parody of Ethan and Sophia, played by Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai, from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish.
Imran dressed up as the magician Ethan and Ranbir was in drag to play the doe-eyed nurse Sophia. Here’s a pic of the duo as Ethan and Sophia. Enjoy!

Deepika Padukone - Ranbir left me feeling insecure
Deepika Padukone, in a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror revealed the reason why she broke up with Ranbir Kapoor in a recent. The super hot beauty said that she was not very happy with Ranbir Kapoor’s conduct with other women. This left her feeling insecure.
Here is what Deepika Padukone, who is rumored to have broken up with Ranbir because of his closeness to Katrina Kaif during the filming of Rajneeti, had to say:
“If my man gives me my security, why would I be possessive? Then I wouldn’t ask him where he is, what he is doing or even who he is with. If my partner is doing things, which betray my trust, then I will become possessive. You become possessive only when you know there’s something going wrong, not just for the heck of it. It’s not about the kind of person I am, it’s about the person I am with.”

Movie Review : Raajneeti by Taran Adarsh
RAAJNEETI makes a sweeping impact. A truly admirable effort, this brilliant film is not to be missed.
I've never really followed politics. But I am truly fascinated by 'Mahabharata'. Lord Krishna, Arjun, Karan, Bheema, Duryodhan... are legendary and the clash between Pandavas and Kauravas is equally unforgettable. Prakash Jha's RAAJNEETI talks of warring cousins, dynastic rule and electoral politics of the Hindi heartland, besides the vicious and horrifying games some people play to attain power.
To me, RAAJNEETI is a human drama, a complex game that people indulge in to achieve power and how this greed envelopes them and transforms them into ruthless and conniving humans. I admit, it takes time for the story to sink in, but slowly and steadily, you get sucked into a world that's dark, dangerous and demonish. The attire may be white, but the deeds are grey or black.
RAAJNEETI is not only 'Mahabharata', but also 'Godfather'. Despite knowing 'Mahabharata' or 'Godfather', one is not able to presume what games the present-day Pandavas and Kauravas would play in RAAJNEETI. In fact, the story alters constantly, unravelling in a serpentine manner and speed... so much so that you don't know what's gonna happen next. It keeps you awed at the constant turn of events. Clearly, unpredictability is the biggest strength of RAAJNEETI. Yet, let me clarify, this is not a documentary, tetchy or preachy film. This one not only entertains, but also enlightens.
The flipside? None, actually. The naysayers may point out that the subject material is 'heavy', 'serious' and 'dry', but you ought to know that when you adapt 'Mahabharata' in the current milieu [present-day politics], you can't expect 'item songs' and 'slapdash humour and mimicry', for God's sake. These naysayers may also state that the running time [almost 3 hours] is a no-no in today's times, but let's not forget that even 3 hours is too short a duration for a good film and vice-versa, even an hour is too lengthy for a terrible film. RAAJNEETI is a genuinely good product, so you definitely don't mind its length. But one thing is for sure: RAAJNEETI doesn't cater to an audience that keeps its brains at home while watching a film. You need to be alert while watching this one.
Final word? Prakash Jha, the persona, is known for qualitative cinema and RAAJNEETI, his new offering, stands tall on the list. Cinema is all about narrating interesting stories on celluloid and for that very reason, RAAJNEETI deserves distinction marks. Of course, the massive star cast and the sparkling performances are the icing on the cake.
I strongly advocate this film. Do yourself a favour: Watch RAAJNEETI.
Bhaskar Sanyal [Naseruddin Shah], the fire-brand leftist leader, is feared for his single-handed ability to challenge the most powerful of leaders. Until one private mistake of his hurtled him into a self-imposed exile.
Cut to the present day. Prithvi [Arjun Rampal] is the heir to a powerful political legacy and impatient to seize the top position. But his cousin, Veerendra [Manoj Bajpayee], proves his biggest political opponent. He's a man who believes he was born to rule and who will now stop at absolutely nothing to claw his way back to the top.
Cornered by family and political colleagues, Veerendra plays a new game: He picks up Sooraj [Ajay Devgn], a youngster with anger in his heart and leadership on his mind. Sooraj doesn't know the secret behind his identity, which, of course, is revealed much, much later.
Prithvi's brother Samar [Ranbir Kapoor] is an 'outsider', with no political aspirations, but he gets sucked into the battle-ravaged arena of family rivalry. Only to turn into a master of the craft of political warfare. Indu [Katrina Kaif], daughter of a wealthy industrialist, is also caught in this web. Last but not the least, there's Brij Gopal [Nana Patekar], who plays the role of mentor and guide to Prithvi and Samar as the battle gets bloodier by the day.
It requires courage to assemble a mammoth, ensemble cast, pick a story that does justice to each character and give the film the feel of an epic. Also, you ought to have comprehensive knowledge of the subject material - politics, in this case. And for all these and more Prakash Jha deserves all the praise possible. He knows the territory like the back of his hand, having observed the political culture very closely. Like I said at the outset, every character in RAAJNEETI is grey or black, not squeaky clean at all.
At an edited length of almost 3 hours, RAAJNEETI keeps the viewers glued to the goings-on for start to end. Anjum Rajabali and Prakash Jha's screenplay brings to the fore the ugly face of democracy most realistically and convincingly. The constant twists-n-turns in the story, the characters who change colours faster than chameleons and the blood-bath they indulge in are the highpoints of this film. In fact, there are sequences that merit brownie points, but it wouldn't be ethical to reveal them here since that would rob the fun while watching the film.
If the screenplay is watertight, the dialogue are equally remarkable. Every line is soaked in acid and only enhances the impact of several sequences. There's no scope for music in the film and the songs, including the hugely popular 'Mora Piya', are interspersed briefly in the narrative. Cinematography is top notch. RAAJNEETI is not an easy film to shoot, given the fact that there are more than 3 or 4 actors in every frame, besides a massive crowd of course.
To slot RAAJNEETI as a multi-starrer film would be erroneous. It's a multi-actor film and every actor delivers a sparkling performance. The film has some of the biggest names in the business, but the ones who stand out are Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee. Ranbir surprises you with every film. Here's an actor who can give the best in the business sleepless nights. Arjun is a revelation and what a terrific performance he pitches in. He's like an untamed lion. Manoj delivers his career-best performance. He plays the evil part superbly.
Ajay Devgn is sidelined in the second hour, but you need to give it to the actor for accepting and enacting his part with complete conviction. Nana Patekar is brilliant. He utters the most acidic lines with a smile, which only an actor of calibre could've achieved. Actually, you can't imagine anyone else in this role. Katrina Kaif is first-rate. The sincerity and earnestness shows in every sequence. She sheds her glam doll image and transforms into an actor with this film. Naseeruddin Shah, in a brief role, does well. Sarah is good.
The film has a number of talented names in supporting roles and each remain etched in your memory, especially Dayashanker Pandey, Chetan Pandit, Darshan Jariwala, Shruti Seth, Kiran Karmarkar and Vinay Apte. Nikhila Trikha, as Arjun and Ranbir's mother, is admirable.
I strongly advocate this film. Do yourself a favour: Watch RAAJNEETI.

Ranbir, Katrina Insult the National Anthem
Promos of the upcoming Bollywood movie Raajneeti featuring the National Anthem are out and controversies have begun to court the film.
According to some sources, certain quarters have expressed concern over the way some cast members are standing while reciting the anthem. The body language of a few actors seems to have become the new wrath for the filmmakers.
The actors, who have come under heavy criticism includes Ranbir Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpai and Katrina Kaif. Their body language is so casual that many feel the actors should have shunned the bored look on their face during this important part of the film.
As per the instructions laid by National Anthem of India it is clearly specified that, whenever, the Anthem is sung or played; the audience shall stand to attention.
The only people, who appear to have followed the instructions dedicatedly, are filmmaker Prakash Jha, actors Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal.

KKRK sends legal notice to Prakash Jha; claims to own rights to title Raajneeti
| Raajneeti - BollywoodBuzzes.blogspot.com |
The problems for Raajneeti seem to be getting more pronounced. Earlier this week, there was a Mumbai-based social worker Naseem Khan who filed a petition in court against Raajneeti asking for its release to be stopped because one of the central characters apparently resembles Sonia Gandhi.
Now one hears that actor and self-styled star Kamal R Khan (or KRK as he likes to be called) has sent Prakash Jha a legal notice claiming rights over the title Raajneeti.
When contacted Jha admits Kamaal, known to generate publicity for himself through various controversies, has indeed sent a legal notice claiming copyrights over the title Raajneeti.
"But my lawyers are looking into it .There's absolutely nothing in this claim. We shouldn't give any importance to people who jump into the picture at the time of release for whatever reasons. Look at the way Rakesh Roshan is being harassed over Kites by some person claiming to be entitled to crores of rupees. Earlier we had someone making claims over Ram Gopal Varma's Rann days before release. This is not done!"
Speaking on Mr Naseem Khan's claims that Raajneeti casts aspersion on one of the most revered politicians of the country, Prakash Jha retorts, "Let all these self-styled supports of Soniaji come forward to show their loyalty. Am I an irresponsible citizen and filmmaker who would do something so foolish as to portray Soniaji in a bad light? No one has seen a frame of Raajneeti. How does anyone presume that Katrina's character has any resemblance to Soniaji? Have I said it anywhere? Has Katrina said it anywhere? Let Soniaji watch Raajneeti and decide."
Ram Gopal Varma very recently and Rakesh Roshan during the release of Krazzy 4 when composer Ram Sampat made plagiarism charges, had to opt for hefty out-of-court settlement to pay up to get their films released. This time both Rakesh Roshan and Prakash Jha are adamant on not giving in to what they see as arm-twisting tactics.
About an out-of-court settlement with the aforementioned Mr Naseem Khan, Prakash Jha said, "Over my dead body. I'd burn the prints of my film rather than give into such blackmail. No out-of-court settlement for me. I've seen enough legal obstacles in my life. This is nothing."

Raajneeti revealed
Prakash Jha’s much talked about film, RAAJNEETI, is heavily inspired by the great Indian epic Mahabharata and so are the characters inthe film . While RAAJNEETI claims to bring the great warriors of Mahabharata like Arjuna, Karna, Bheema, Duryodhana, Krishna, etc to life, one is equally eager to know who depicts whom inthe film.
Actor Arjun Rampal, who plays a significant role in the film, without further suspense, reveals who’s who in RAAJNEETI,
“Nana Patekar’s character depicts Lord Krishna, Ranbir Kapoor plays Arjuna, Ajay Devgn plays Karna, Katrina Kaif is playing Draupadi, Manoj Bajpayee plays Duryodhana and that of mine is inspired by brawny Bheema of Mahabharata. I play Ranbir Kapoor’s elder brother, who is quite caring & short-tempered.”
After so much of revelation, I just cant wait to watch the movie, which is scheduled to hit the theatres on June 4, 2010!
What is your opinion???

Ranbir – Bipasha spotted having fun together at nightspot
In today’s film world, it’s a rare sight to find two co-stars as thick buddys.
However, Ranbir Kapoor has found a friend in his once upon a time costar Bipasha Basu, who he shares a very comfortable equation with. When they are together, they very well know to enjoy themselves.
Ranbir and Bipasha were seen walking in together at a famous suburban nightspot on Thursday night, accompanied by director Siddharth Anand and his wife Mamta.
Says an eyewitness, “After they entered, Ranbir and Bipasha went to a separate corner. They looked very comfortable in each other’s company.”
“They stayed in the premises for an hour-and-a-half. It was a very happening night on Thursday but after Ranbir and Bipasha entered, most people were only looking at them,” adds the witness.
Bipasha said, “Yes, Ranbir and I do go to the nightspot you mentioned. Is there any problem with that?” She, however, declined to comment on the occasion for the dinner date.
It is a known fact that Deepika is not too fond of Bipasha. Their friction started on the sets of a television show where Deepika, Bipasha and Ranbir had to promote Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Well, I wonder how Deepika might have reacted to this.

Ranbir to romance a hot super model
The latest buzz is that, Ranbir Kapoor will be romancing the hot model Diana Penty in Imtiaz Ali’s next ‘Rockstar’.
News is that Imtiaz has signed the 25-year old model Diana Penty as the lead actress who will play the love interest of Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.
Imtiaz was apparently hesitant on whether to go for a fresh face as Ranbir’s love interest in the film. His first choice was one-film old Anushka Sharma for the role but later dropped the idea however.
Diana is a known-face in the fashion industry and was shortlisted before being finalized to play the lead role.
Diana and Ranbir have earlier worked in a virgin Mobile Commercial and came very much in the news when Diana replaced Ranbir’s ex Deepika Padukone in a cosmetic brand.
‘Rockstar’ is known to be the most ambitious project of Imtiaz. As the name suggest, the movie will be love story set in the musical background.

Katrina saved by Arjun Rampal
Recently during the Press Conference of Rajneeti team, Katrina came in a short, sleeveless dress. She was literally shivering because of the cold air from the AC.
Katrina couldn’t help but share it with both Ranbir and Arjun Rampal. And guess what??? This time, Ranbir did not do anything except nod his head. Arjun quickly removed his black overcoat and gave it toKatrina.
Katrina immediately grabbed it and placed it on her legs, which were hidden behind a table on the stage breathing a sigh of relief
So, this time Arjun Rampal scores over Ranbir Kapoor.

Tthe green-eyed star -Ranbir Kapoor
Why is he jealous of Arjun Rampal’s wife, Mehr?
After working with model-turned-National Award winner Arjun Rampal in ‘Raajneeti’, Ranbir Kapoor considers him a "brother for life" and says he loves him so much that he feels extremely jealous of Arjun's wife.
"I have had a wonderful time working with Arjun in 'Raajneeti'. He is my brother for life. I love him a lot. In fact I love him so much, so much that I am jealous that Mehr is his wife," Ranbir said while addressing a press conference at the Galaxy Hotel in Gurgaon.
The two actors were in a fun mood as they stood up and started clapping as soon as their co-actor Katrina Kaif stepped on to the stage. They even banged the table instead of clapping later, and Ranbir kept dropping the cap of a plastic water bottle placed on the dais.
Even Arjun went out of his way to confess his feelings for Ranbir as well as the other cast and crew members of 'Raajneeti', directed by critically acclaimed Prakash Jha.
"I have found a good friend in Prakash, guide in Nana (Patekar) sir, enemy in Manoj (Bajpai), a younger brother in Ranbir and Katrina has been a wonderful person who lets me pull her leg," Arjun said.

Arjun Rampal came to Katrina's rescue
Dressed in a short, sleeveless, pink dress, Katrina found it too cold at the venue.
"It's way too cold here. It's so cold!" Katrina was seen whispering to Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal on the stage.
While Ranbir chose to nod his head, Arjun displayed chivalry by taking off his black overcoat and handed it to Katrina. She immediately grabbed it and placed it on her legs, which were hidden behind a table on the stage.
Moments later, actor Nana Patekar too was seen trying to get the temperature in control by requesting hotel officials to do the needful.
'Raajneeti' is a dark political drama and features Manoj Bajpai, Ajay Devgn, Naseeruddin Shah, apart from Nana, Arjun, Ranbir and Katrina, who plays the role of a politician. The movie has been directed by Prakash Jha, known for his realistic films like 'Mrityudand', 'Gangaajal' and 'Apharan', and is slated for release in June.

Ranbir Kapoor all set to direct
“When he decided he wanted to join Bollywood, his plans were to revive the RK banner and direct films. And that’s why he decided to assist Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, when acting offers came his way, he took them on. However, all those in his inner circle always knew that it was a matter of time before Ranbir would direct. That’s something he is extremely passionate about,” says a friend of the actor.
Sources close to the star tell us that while Ranbir has been busy wrapping up his movies, he has also been hearing various scripts.
“He is very keen to take the RK banner back to where it was during his grandfather’s days. He is looking at directing a feel-good family movie… Something that would make the late Raj Kapoor very proud. His parents, especially his father, are helping him every step of the way. He has a lot of encouragement from both his uncles too for reviving the RK banner,” says the friend.
At the moment, Ranbir Kapoor has his kitty filled with big directors and banners casting him as the lead, with almost every leading actress ready to act opposite him. However, Kapoor is quite keen to go back to his original plan of directing.
“It’s not a case of choosing one over the other. I would like to revive the RK banner. And it won’t be easy. But I plan to work as hard on doing that as I do on my acting,” says Kapoor earnestly.
And it is keeping his directing plans in mind that Ranbir hasn’t signed on a spate of films. Almost through with Ananjani Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir only has Anurag Basu’s Khamoshi on hand.

But the latest we hear is that Katrina has opted out of the film in order to act with Hrithik Roshan.
It's said that Katrina got the role in Imtiaz's new film because of Ranbir but she dumped it after getting a plumber role.
She just could not refuse when Luck By Chance director Zoya Akhtar came up with a role opposite Hrithik.
But is Katrina staking her friendship with Ranbir by rejecting his film?
