The veteran Bollywood actor Bob Christo, who had played the role of villain in films like Mard, Mr India, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and Gumraah, has passed away in Bangalore after a massive heart attack. He was 70.
According to the hospital sources, the actor, who had acted in more than 200 films was taken to hospital after he complained of chest pain. Though the doctors tried for a day, but they eventually couldn’t save him.
Doctors, who performed angiography on him said that the actor had 90 per cent blocks in one his arteries and all attempts to save him through open-heart surgery did not help him.
The actor, who had landed in Mumbai to meet Parveen Babi in the late 1970’s got his first break in Sanjay Khan’s Abdullah.
The actor, who acted in more than 100 films shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor, Rishi Kapur, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Sunil Dutt among others.
Bob, who was seen in a Bollywood film in 2003 last time around, had released his biography ‘Flashback: My Times in Bollywood and Beyond’ sometime back. He was hoping to make a comeback with a film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. But, before that could happen, fate took him away from us.
