What was Shahid doing in Priyanka’s home early in the morning???

Priyanka Chopra was in news yesterday. IT officials who went to raid the actress’s Yari Road home were greeted by Shahid Kapoor who was wearing nothing but shorts. Expecting the sexy Chopra at the door, they were in for a shock on seeing Shahid greeting them instead. Shahid was equally shocked to see the I-T folks…

It was a highly secretive raid and no one came to know of it in advance.
Says a source, “Both, Shahid and Priyanka were quite shocked by the raid. Shahid could not leave immediately. So, he remained there for sometime.”
A source close to Shahid and Priyanka confirmed and said, “Yes, Shahid was present at Priyanka’s place when the IT raid happened. The IT officials came in around 7.30 am.”
Officials said many documents were seized from Chopra’s residence, which was created by merging five flats. 12 lockers were sealed and verification of documents continued till late in the evening. PC’s father, Capt Dr Ashok Chopra home was also raided.

Shahid and Priyanka are very much in love….

Shahid and Priyanka were recently spotted at a cricket match. Though the duo have tried their best to convince the world that they are single, their cozy moments are always captured.
The couple was spotted in Durban on a Sunday afternoon enjoying the T-20 match between India and South Africa. Piggy and Sasha feel in love during the shooting of Kaminey. Wonder why they keep denying it.

If buzz is to be believed, we hear that in the recent awards function, there was a small rift between SRK and Shahid. But last Saturday, on a flight from Mumbai to Durban, Piggy helped SRK and Sasha patch-up.
Says a source, “On the flight she opened a conversation between SRK and Sasha and also spoke to them about their common interests.
Soon the three were talking like old buddies, eating and joking.”
Sasha and Piggy, we are very happy for you guys..

Shahid-Kareena Kapoor in Action

Shahid and Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Milenge Milenge’ Story

Shahid and Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Milenge Milenge’

Amit (Shahid Kapoor) and Priya (Kareena Kapoor) meet at a Youth festival in Bangkok.

Shahid and Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Milenge Milenge’
Priya is a girl with substance, exactly opposite the teens and college going students of today’s time. A pure romantic at heart she has this image of her would be life partner, who she expects would be a teetotaler, a guy who doesn’t smoke and who doesn’t lie.

Amit is totally opposite of what Priya wants from her life partner. He drinks like a fish, lies on the slightest pretext and is a chain smoker.

Their world collides when Amit by chance lays his hands on Priya’s personal diary and learns of her likes and dislikes. He poses as her dream mate by giving her a totally different picture of himself. Priya gets instantly attracted to Amit, and they spend days together cavorting around Bangkok, coming closer by the second.

Priya discovers the copy of her diary in Amit’s room and realises that he has made a fool of her. Amit is at a local bar having the last glass of beer and the last cigarette of his life. Priya appears in front of him and hell breaks loose. With a broken heart she confronts him and breaks the relationship. Priya decides that if it is fate that they should be together, then they will find each other in Delhi again, although both do not know each other’s whereabouts in Delhi.

Years go by and we introduce a new Amit as he comes back to Delhi from USA after getting his business management degree. He has gone through a complete personality change. He has become the man that Priya dreamed about. On the other hand Priya has also moved on in life. She has now become a successful music video director and is in a relationship with a pop singer

Both of them are about to be married, but still have this nagging feeling that the other was his/her one true love. Fate conspires to bring them back together, as they each simultaneously undertake one last attempt to find one another just before they get married to someone else.

Shahid and Kareena’s ‘Milenge Milenge’, directed by Satish Kaushik and presented by Boney Kapoor, releases on July 9, 2010.

Why Anushka kissed Shahid

She insists that the scene in 'Badmaash Company' wasn't to attract attention

After playing a simple girl-next-door, Anushka Sharma has gone in for an image makeover in ‘Badmaash Company’ where she not only wears stylish clothes but also has a kissing scene with Shahid Kapoor. The model-turned-actress says the script demanded it and it wasn't meant just to attract attention.

"I don't see it as a kissing scene. It's a part of the screenplay. I think cinema is changing and we are not doing (kissing) for the heck of it. We do not need to do this (kiss on screen) to attract attention," Anushka said.

"When you see the film, the kind of chemistry Bulbul (her character in the film) and Karan (Shahid) share, the kind of love that's there between them, you will be able to understand that the scene was justified," said Anushka, who made her debut as a small town girl in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

The 22-year-old claims the audiences will be able to relate to the characters in the film as all of them represent the middle-class dreams.

"This film is about four friends, their relationships and the trials they go through to achieve their goals. All the characters are extremely relatable because they come from middle-class families with big dreams and aspirations. We have all been like that. Their dreams are really big. They have not got any patience...They want to do it right away," she said.

Set in Mumbai of the 1990s, ‘Badmaash Company’ is about four youngsters who start a business and find a way to beat the system.

Anushka's gang in the film comprises Shahid, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. And she says they gelled well.

"When we travelled outdoors, we got to spend time with each other...We hung out, ate out, went to the pub. Good that we got along very well because it was a pre-requisite of the film," said Anushka.

’Badmaash Company’ is actor-turned-director Parmeet Sethi's first outing as director. Anushka says Parmeet knew the characters inside out, but was still open to others' ideas.

Anushka enjoys not being a trained actor because it allows her to visualise scenes naturally.

"I quite enjoy the fact that I'm not a trained actor...If you are experienced, you have a certain method of acting, but I haven't discovered that method yet. There is a positive side of not being a trained actor. When I get a scene, I see how naturally it should be done. People call it natural acting and that is also a method," she said.

Asked if she wants to explore any particular genre, she said: "No, I am not looking forward to any particular genre. I'm open to doing films of every genre and with different directors. There are so many things that I would love to do - a period love story or an action film."

But Anushka finds acting a difficult profession and says her hectic schedule leaves her with little time for her friends.

"I never wanted to be an actor. I wanted to remain a model. Had I wanted to be an actor I would have been more observant about actors. After 'Rab Ne...' I realised that it's a very difficult profession. You don't have time for your personal life, for your parents, and your social circuit becomes very small because you are working day and night," she said.

B.O. update: 'Badmaash Company' starts off very well

Badmaash Company After HOUSE FULL opened to an excellent start last week, it was the turn of BADMAASH COMPANY to open to a heartening start at the box-office. Shahid Kapoor's last major release CHANCE PE DANCE [not counting PAATHSHAALA] had fetched a below average start, so it was imperative that BADMAASH COMPANY fetch a good start at the ticket window. The opening
numbers of BADMAASH COMPANY were an impressive 80% to 90% at places, while at places it ranged from 45% to 75%, which only improved towards the evening shows.

The opening weekend of BADMAASH COMPANY is expected to be better, given the fact that the film has tremendous youth appeal and that in turn should witness an escalation in business. Overall, the film should have a very good weekend, which reinforces Yash Raj and Shahid's pull at the ticket window.

The second release of the week, IT'S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE, had a disastrous start at the box-office. The opening was in 5% to 10% range and since the reports are terrible, the numbers are not expected to show a major jump on Saturday and Sunday.

MOVIE REVIEW: Badmaash Company

Actor turned debutante director Parmeet Sethi made a startling confession on my show, a few days ago. He said, he had completed the entire script, with dialogue, in six days flat. I was apprehensive initially, but not once does BADMAASH COMPANY give you the feeling that it's a hurried job or the debutante writer-director, in a bid to start his first film, had left blanks incomplete.

The earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed. The adage holds true for the youth of today, who wish to attain the riches overnight and take an easy route/shortcut to climb the ladder of success. Just when you start thinking that you've conquered it all, that you're God, a stroke of bad luck brings you back to Ground Zero, to experience the harsh realities of life.

Parmeet walks the tight rope of handling a complex subject and offering entertainment simultaneously, in his very first film. To his credit, the film has several poignant and enjoyable moments that catch you by complete surprise. While the film has it all -- the writing has the power to keep the viewer hooked -- the film has a handicap in the form of its second hour, especially the penultimate 25-odd minutes.

Let me specify! With a running time of approx. 2.30 hours, the extra footage in the end -- Shahid and friends trying to salvage his uncle's business -- only adds to the length of the enterprise. Ideally, the film should've ended when the friends forgive each other and shake hands, after a series of personal and professional setbacks.

Final word? BADMAASH COMPANY is a decent attempt, with several captivating moments and power-packed performances by each and every member of its cast. We often grudge that entertainment-laden films make no sense these days, but this one entertains and also makes sense. Watch it!

BADMAASH COMPANY is set in the 1990s in middle class Mumbai, of four ordinary youngsters [Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang and Vir Das], who came together to start an import business of things longed for by yuppie Indians. What made their venture such a stupendous success was the fact that they found a way to beat the system and soon became the undisputed kings in their business, realizing their one dream of making quick money is by doing all the wrong things the right way.

Living the life of champagne wishes and caviar dreams, the four friends discover that to make a business successful, you don't need big money. All you need is a big idea. All is well and hunky dory till one day the four maverick entrepreneurs are forced to shut shop.

The best thing about BADMAASH COMPANY is that you identify with the mindset of those who aspire to reach the pinnacle of success using shortcuts. The scams and the con games the youth indulge in are easy to decipher and least complicated, which works in its favour. Another strong point is the camaraderie that the four actors share on screen. The film would've fallen flat if the chemistry was missing, but the bonding looks so real that you forget that they are merely enacting those roles.

BADMAASH COMPANY has some terrific moments. The sequences in Bangkok are enjoyable. Ditto for the showdown between the friends in the post-interval hour. The transformation in Shahid's persona is also beautifully depicted. But, like I pointed out at the outset, the second hour tends to get repetitive and the penultimate 25-odd minutes are a strict no-no.

Pritam's music is foot-tapping and almost every song has been filmed very well. Sanjay Kapoor's cinematography is just right.

Every actor puts his best foot forward in BADMAASH COMPANY. Shahid gets it right yet again. It wouldn't be erroneous to say that this is amongst his finest works. Watch him blow his lid in the restaurant sequence and also in another sequence, when he meets a pregnant Anushka. He is confidence personified in those sequences.

Anushka is a revelation. She looks stunning, her performance is livewire and the chemistry with Shahid is electrifying. Strangely, she took a backseat after her debut in RAB NE BANADI JODI, but BADMAASH COMPANY will bring her back in public eye. Vir Das is another surprise. He's in terrific form here. The film marks the 'birth' of another talent -- Meiyang Chang -- who adds a lot of freshness and zing to his character. Anupam Kher is wonderful. Kiran Juneja makes her presence felt. Pawan Malhotra is extremely likeable.

On the whole, BADMAASH COMPANY is a watchable experience for various reasons, the prime reason being it offers solid entertainment, but doesn't insult your intelligence. Recommended!

RATING: 4/5

Warne consoles Shah Rukh

srk

Rajasthan Royals captain, Shane Warne felt sorry for the Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan after his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders failed to make it to the semi-finals for the third consecutive year.

Warne wrote on social networking site Twitter:
“Hey buddy you’re a champion and your charisma is something (that) I’m sure inspires a lot of people. Hang in there, sport is cruel sometimes.”

“Congrats the way you conduct yourself, I know it’s tough re (regarding) KKR… I am feeling for you, but it’s a pleasure to live the journey of life,” Warne tweeted.

Shah Rukh, on the same context, had apologised for KKR’s failure.
“Also cos lots of ppl think I am sad etc. I am not…just disappointed. That too has waned already. New day…new way. v get wot v work for (We get what we work for). Being successful does not mean that one doesn’t react to bad days. Being successful means reacting and then acting upon changing bad days,” he wrote.

“Those who don’t have a reaction to losses get used to it. I always…say…if you hate losing enuff (enough)…you will surely win. End of sermon ha ha,” he added.

Four music maestros sing for Paathshaala!!

PaathshaalaIt is rare to see four of Bollywood’s talented music composers come together to be a part of a film. But this was what Hanif Shaikh; the music composer of Eros International & Shaira Khan's ‘Paathshaala’ did while creating the music for the Shahid Kapoor starrer.

With his beautiful compositions and touching lyrics, Hanif was successful in roping in some of the greatest talents such as Lucky Ali, Salim Merchant, Vishal Dadlani and Kailesh Kher to sing for the movie.

Music Composer Salim Merchant who has composed music for movies such as Fashion along with brother Suleiman was really excited to sing the song titled ‘Aye Khuda’ for the movie as it was being produced by good friend Ahmed Khan’s wife Shaira.

A source revealed that when Lucky Ali, a longtime and very close friend of Ahmed Khan heard Hanif sing one of the songs named ‘Bekaraar’, he completely fell in love with it and immediately said that he would love to sing the song for the movie.

Vishal Dadlani also instantly agreed to sing a song named ‘Khushnnuma’ after he heard the film’s story. Vishal loves kids & was really touched after hearing the script that highlighted the plight of children these days and felt it was the best way to show his support to such a noble project.

Kailash Kher has lent his soulful voice to a slow number called ‘Teri Marzi’. A source from the film says that Kailash was so touched by the lyrics and the composition of the song that the singer cum musician had tears in his eyes after he sang it.

Even composer Hanif Shaikh has sung a song along with singer Tulsi Kumar for the film’s album.
Commenting on this, Hanif says, “All praise to Allah but assembling all these wonderful singers for the album wouldn’t have been possible without Ahmed Khan’s help. I am really thankful to him for giving me such a big platform in Paathshaala. I hope audiences enjoy listening to the music as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it”.
Well, looking at the enthusiastic response to ‘Aye Khuda’ & ‘Bekaraar’, we can surely say that Hanif’s hard work will surely pay off!

Directed by Milind Ukey, Paathshaala opens in theatres on April 16th.

Badmaash Company: Movie Reviews, Wallpapers, Story, Trailers, Cast & Crew

“Badmaash Company” is an extraordinary story set in the 90’s in middle class Mumbai of four young friends (Karan, Bulbul, Zing and Chandu) who get together to start a company. Their business is an instant hit because they find a way to beat the system.

In this Film, Anushka Sharma turns chic to flaunt her hour-glass figure in the most glam glad-rags in the Yashraj Films’ Badmaash Company and the ‘not-so-secretly kept’ fact about Shahid Kapoor'’s upcoming venture titled ‘Badmaash Company’ is for the first time Shahid would be donning many makeovers and get-ups so much so that he becomes almost unrecognizable in some sequences in the film.

Of course, Shahid's make-over attempts as the con-man have been modified and ‘stylised’ to suit the Indian audience’s tastes. He gets into as many as seven different disguises: a South Indian patriarch, a Bihari babu, a baldie with a hair-loss complex, an African with an Afro-curly hairdo, a Sikh, an innocent college student with oil-sickened hair and most interestingly, a Hyderabadi mawaali inspired by Mehmood's look in several films.

In Badmaash Company however, both Shahid and Anushka would be seen in a young, fresh and altogether new look. Anushka, who in her first film, was mostly seen sporting Indian wear has gone glamorous for this role wearing cool and funky tops and hot pants.

For both Shahid and Anushka, this is the second film with the coveted Yash Raj banner. Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will be seen playing some adventurous water sports in the flick. And as a source tells a tabloid, both were given that kind of uber cool look for it. Shahid will sport chic vests, Anushka Sharma will be seen in sexy bikini tops and ultra short denims. And for the rest of the movie too, she has a very glamorous look.

The movie also has actor-comedian Vir Das, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, and Indian Idol participant Meiyang Chang as ‘badmaash’. Making his directorial debut, Parmeet Sethi wields the megaphone for this stylish flick.

Yash Raj Films' Badmaash Company has a release date of May 7, 2010. The film’s leading stars, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and choreographer Ahmed Khan were shooting a music video for the Yashraj film.

Kareena and Shahid face to face

During the rehearsals for a recent awards function, Kareena Kapoor came face to face with her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor. Kareena, who was walking with her buddy Lovely Singh and secretary Zahid, saw Shahid Kapoor at a distance but ignored him and went away.

A souce says, “Kareena was scheduled to perform at the event and had just finished her rehearsals. Kareena decided to take a walk backstage while Shahid (who was also hosting a segment) was making his way towards the same area. Kareena looked like she didn’t notice him, but Shahid was quite surprised to see her.”
Another source says, “It is sad to see that they can’t even exchange a polite hello, though they were once in a relationship. Neither of them has come clean on the reasons for the break-up. But even Kareena’s manager Zahid, who once also managed Shahid, didn’t feel the need to exchange any pleasantries with him.”
