I didn’t refuse Farah Khan’s offer: Asin

asin photo 97x150 I didnt refuse Farah Khans offer: Asin
Southern beauty Asin Thottumkal has slammed rumours suggesting that she refused a role in Farah Khan’s next directorial venture “Happy New Year” saying she can never say no to the choreographer-turned-director.

“I am extremely upset with this rumour that has obviously been floated by vested interests. I don’t understand how such rumours crop up.

“Farah Khan is a close friend of mine there is no way I can refuse her. There was never any discussion over the movie. This news is utter rubbish,” Asin clarified in a statement.

Farah, who has earlier made blockbuster films like “Main Hoon Na” and “Om Shanti Om”, supported Asin and said: “The rumour is a complete fabrication. I have not even written the script as yet.”

Asin will next be seen in her forthcoming release Vipul Shah’s “London Dreams”, also starring Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan.

Farah Khan, mard ko bhi dard hota hai

Bizman files complaint against the director for 'men are dogs' comment on TV show
Director Farah Khan has hurt the sentiments of Chembur businessman Abdul Samad Khan with her comments on TV show Dus Ka Dum.

Farah, who appeared with actress Deepika Padukone on the show on August 1, reportedly said, "Mard kutte hote hain, lekin wafadar nahin hote."

Angered by the comment, Abdul filed a complaint against Farah with the Social Service Branch on Tuesday.

Abdul, who owns a consultancy firm, said, "Farah should not have forgotten that she was on television. Such offensive language against men is unacceptable.

Our Constitution grants equal rights to both the sexes and she has no right to compare men with animals."

When asked whether he wanted an apology, Abdul said, "We will take the legal route now. Strict action should be taken against her."

R R Joshi of the Social Service branch said, "It is not a cognisable offence, but we will take necessary action only after taking a legal opinion."

Anita Basu, producer, Dus Ka Dum refused to comment saying, "I just learnt of the complaint. I don't know what he is talking about."

Despite repeated attempts Farah couldn't be reached. She did not reply to SMSes either.

Hrithik chucks Farah out of Kites

Farah Khan has started making exceptions in regards to her choreography assignments. And the privileged exceptions are Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Hritik Roshan. But it seems she did a mistake keeping the Roshans in her special list. The song that she choreographed for Kites has been unceremoniously chopped to squeeze the film's length. Roshans had announced the song to be choreographed by Farah Khan and to be picturised on Hrithik and Barbara Mori with much fanfare. Even Farah was quite kicked about the sequence. But when the audiences at the Cannes Film Festival commented about the film being too long, the Roshans decided to cut off a few things from the film. And Farah's song was the first prey.

However, the surprising thing is no one from Filmkraft bothered to inform Farah about the cuts even when the director of the film Anurag Basu had insisted on doing so. Hrithik had assured Anurag then that he would do the needful but unfortunately, he didn't. Farah was unaware of the developing until now. Visibly shocked by the news, Farah said that she didn't know that her song has been chopped off. But she composed herself later and said that she's sure it's done for the betterment of Kites and so she's not upset at all.

It seems Farah Khan can be adjudged as the most diplomatic Bollywood denizen. What say Farah?

Michael Jackson was my guru: Farah Khan

As an era in pop music comes to an end with the sudden death of Michael Jackson, one of the Bollywood best choreographers Farah Khan remembers the' King of Pop'as her guru.

"I officially had no training in dance and whatever I learnt was from watching Michael Jackson by watching his videos, especially'Thriller' over and over again. I consider him as my guru," Farah said.

Jackson died Thursday in Los Angeles due to suspected cardiac arrest. He was 50. Farah said that she heard the news today as she landed in Los Angeles to meet Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan who is shooting in LA for Karan Johar's'My Name Is Khan'.

"I have just landed here to meet Shahrukh. I reached in the hotel and got to know about the sad news. It has not sunk in yet. It is still to sink in that he is no more," Farah said. Farah remembers the'Thriller' hitmaker as"one who revolutionised the way we look at dancing today" also recalled her encounter with the pop superstar in New York at a Bollywood awards night." I had a won an award at the ceremony and Michael Jackson was also getting an award for his humanitarian works.

The organisers knew how crazy I was for him so they did take me to backstage to meet him. I have a picture with him which I will cherish all my life. I told him that I am choreographer and that is just because of him," Farah told CNN-IBN.

"I thought I would retire after I choreograph Michael Jackson,"she added.
