Now Rani Mukherji goes for size zero

The size-zero chaska has now hit Rani Mukherjee.


And the man she's hired to knock her into shape is Satyajit Chourasia, who helped Aamir build his 8-pack body for Ghajini.

“Rani is really working hard to get into shape," Satyajit said, "It’s almost two months that I’m going to her place to guide her in her daily workouts."

The actress, who is currently doing only Yash Raj movies exercised "Every morning whenever she gets time off from shooting," said Satyajit. Asked how long her routine was, he said it was between one and two hours a day, "Which I think is sufficient for her."

Satyajit said that Rani's body did not need the intense workouts that Aamir's needed when he build his body last year. "I don't give her heavy exercises which sometimes are not beneficial for a woman's body," he said, "There are lightweight dumbbells which she uses."

The cardio exercises that Rani did included skipping, he said, "Which increases stamina."

How much weight had Rani lost? Five kilos, he said, "Which is making her look quite different."

What were the challenges she had with her body? "In her shape, her problem is that her lower body has the fat so I have told her to walk on the treadmill and do regular cardio to reduce the fat in her lower body," Satyajit said, "but at the same time I have advised her to balance her diet and have the same amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats."

The actress had completely given up sweets and oily food, he said. "I have told her to cook in olive oil, which is really good to keep the fat low."

Along with her exercising Rani was also doing yoga, he said, "when she exercises in the evening, she goes for yoga in the morning." Her asanas included the pranayam and the suryanamaskar, which helped with concentration, he said.

Rani already looked thinner than her normal self in the song that she did for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She's working on her next film for Yash Raj, called Cricket, in which she is a player.
