Kapoors believe in continuing the legacy that the older generations have left. Ranbir is the fourth generation of the Kapoor khandaan and still continues to stay with his parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor in their ancestral house, Krishna Kunj in Pali Hill. The tradition of celebrating Ganeshotsav started by Raj Kapoor at R.K.Studios continues till date. Last year, the Ganesh Visarjan saw Ranbir playing the dholak for the visarjan.

Well known as the jumping jack, Jeetendra says jokingly, “We are together for 24 hours of the day.” He goes on to add “Since Tushaar and Ekta have their own responsibilities, it becomes difficult to manage time as a family. However, every month, we make it a point to perform the purnima puja together at home”.
