Actress Asin's upcoming Tamil movie 'Kavalan' had a press meets for confirming the title. Press meets was organized by the producers on Thursday night. Actors Vijay, Asin, Vadivelu and director of the film Siddique were present in the press meet session. Actor Vijay thanked to Asin for her presence in the event and released the finalized title as 'Kavalan'.
'Kaavalan' is a comedy mixed romantic film directed by Siddique and produced by S.Ramesh Babu under the banner of Feather Touch Entertainment. Lyrics by Pa. Vijay, Yugabharathi, Kabilan and Viveka. Vidhyasagar has composed the music for the film and his previous albums with Vijay (Thirumalai, Ghilli and Kuruvi) have been chartbusters. 'Kaavalan' is the remake of the director's own 2010 Malayalam film 'Bodyguard'. Dileep, Nayantara and Thyagarajan were the lead stars in the film 'Bodyguard'. Vijay, Asin Thottumkal and Raj Kiran are the lead stars of film 'Kaavalan'. Vijay is playing the role of Bhoominathan, Asin Thottumkal playing the role of Meera and Raj Kiran playing the role of Muthu Amalingam in the film. Asin doing her third film with Vijay after Sivakasi and Pokkiri. The film also features Raj Kiran and Roja in vital roles with Vadivelu taking care of comedy portions. Vadivelu, MS Bhaskar, Vaiyapuri, Livingston, Delhi Ganesh and Mithra Kurian as well in the film.
