Shaken, not stirred, is how he likes his martinis. The name’s Khan, Saif Ali Khan , and he loves to woo his arm-candy Kareena Kapoor in James Bond ishtyle.
Come September, a long cherished dream of Saif is going to be fulfilled – to play a suave, gun-totting spy a la James Bond. In a film to be co-produced by none other than himself, Saif will realize his adolescent dream and play a gutsy and sharp-minded spy in Agent Vinod , to be directed by Sriram Raghavan . The character is inspired from Ian Fleming’s James Bond.
Kareena, Saif’s steady girlfriend, goes on to reveal her beau’s obsession with Bond while speaking to a tabloid. Recalling how Saif wooed her in Bond style during their stay in England recently, Bebo said: “…every evening he’d wear a suit at seven and take me out for a round of drinks and dinner…And, he’d often woo me exactly like it happens in those Bond flicks.”
Bebo also revealed that Saif has dreamt of playing a Bond-ish character ever since he was nine years old. Not even that, today he likes his martinis shaken, just like Sean Connery did in ‘Goldfinger’.
‘Agent Vinod’ is set to go on the floors in September. It would be shot at a number of locations like Berlin, Prague, Nice, Istanbul, Monte Carlo and Russia. The movie stars Kareena as Saif’s ladylove. In fact, sources say Saif plans to have a series of ‘Agent Vinod’ films just like the Bond flicks, but he would wait to see the response to the first movie.
Well, given the fact that the film will be directed by Sriram Raghavan, the man who’s made some edge-of-the-seat thrillers, ‘Agent Vinod’ will most likely strike a chord with the movie buffs. After all, who wouldn’t like to see Saif playing a desi bond?
